The newest 5E adventure from Wizards of the Coast, “Waterdeep: Dragon Heist” is in stores now, and you can get the
Fantasy Grounds module from the Fantasy Grounds store or on Steam. The cost is currently $24.95, which is the regular price.
The thing I think is most interesting about this adventure is that the DM can choose which villain to pit the party against. Also, the game is set in different seasons, so the villain chosen also has a season assigned to him/her.
What is this Dragon Heist anyway?
There is a rumor that there is a huge stash of gold (also known as Dragons), and it’s up to your party to find the gold before the villain does, because you know bad things will happen if the villain gets to it first.
Keep in mind that this being an urban adventure, you won’t be able to just go and murder hobo your opponents. Nope, in Waterdeep, the City Watch doesn’t like that. And, if you disobey the Code Legal, you may wind up with a long stay at Castle Waterdeep.
What? I never heard of the Code Legal!
You know what they say? Ignorance is no excuse. You can be charged for any of the following:
Crimes against nobles
Crimes against the city
Crimes against the Gods
Crimes against Citizens
And it’s up to you to figure out what that means and not to commit any of those crimes. Good luck, and happy adventuring!
